As an E-Workplace Engineer, you will bring expertise and stability to our E-Workplace team. You will act as the central bridge between our end-users, stores, various IT departments (such as Security, Network, and Cloud), and external vendors. Your goal is to manage and further develop the e-workplace environment, with a specific focus on the Google Workspace ecosystem. In this role, you will support the team’s strategic objectives and serve as an experienced "helping hand" for the organization.
Responsibilities
* Management & Optimization: You will install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software, focusing on Google Workspace and MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions.
* Project Management: You will actively participate in project rollouts and collaborate with developers and architects on integration projects.
* Support & Monitoring: You will provide 2nd and 3rd line support and monitor infrastructure performance to proactively resolve bottlenecks and outages.
* Automation: You will write and maintain scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
* Security: You will work closely with IT Security to implement patches and ensure the confidentiality of information.
* Stakeholder Management: You will maintain contacts with suppliers and act as a diplomatic link between the business and IT.
Profile
* Education & Experience: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
* Technical Knowledge: You have strong expertise in Google Workspace, MDM, FACM, and telephony systems. Experience in the retail sector is a significant plus.
* Languages: You are fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Dutch or French is highly desirable for interacting with our various locations and stores.
* Personality: You have a calm, down-to-earth, and senior attitude. You work in a structured manner, are diplomatic in your communication, and are a true bridge builder.
