The Key Account Manager (KAM) is a field based position focused on selling Diagnostic Imaging products into hospitals, imaging centres, radiation oncology, etc. KAM is the primary owner of assigned accounts and serves as the main point of contact for customers across diagnostic imaging. The role combines field based selling, strategic account management with strong clinical and commercial expertise to drive growth, maximize access to the full portfolio, and deliver customer value.
The KAM is responsible for developing long-term partnerships with key stakeholders—including clinical, economic, and executive decision-makers—while supporting clinical best practices, product adoption, and service optimization.
Account Management & Strategy
* Own and execute Key Account Plans aligned with business objectives
* Identify key stakeholders and drive account/territory growth strategies
* Manage pipeline, forecasting, and deliver on sales targets
Customer Engagement
* Act as the main point of contact for clients
* Build strong relationships with clinical, procurement, and C-level stakeholders
* Drive new business through active prospecting and strong field presence
Commercial Execution
* Lead tenders, negotiations, and contract execution
* Deliver tailored value propositions and pricing strategies
* Ensure successful rollout of commercial initiatives
Clinical & Product Support
* Provide product demos, clinical training, and ongoing support
* Partner with clinicians to optimize product use and best practices
Market Development
* Support access strategies, service optimization, and portfolio expansion
* Identify new opportunities through market analysis and networking
Collaboration & Reporting
* Maintain accurate CRM data and forecasts
* Collaborate cross-functionally and share market insights
Education :
* Degree in Life Sciences, Radiography, or related field
* Business or commercial qualification is a plus
Experience:
* Proven experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical/medical device sales
* Strong Key Account Management and negotiation experience
* Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder healthcare environments
Skills & Competencies
* Flemish and English at a professional level, French would be an asset
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Clinical understanding and ability to deliver education/training
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix organization
* Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
