About the role
We are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of aJunior Group Sustainability Analyst (VIE) in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
As aJunior Group Sustainability Analyst (VIE), you willreport to our Group Head of Sustainability and be part of theSustainability team in charge of executing the Group Sustainability Strategy. Youare responsible for embedding Sustainability into Lhoist’s activities. To do so, you will be working with a diverse and broadgroup of experts in various projects from the different regions and teams, includingLhoist France.
Your roleand responsibilities:
1. You’ll contribute to set-up projects and goals for various roadmaps (including annual trajectories) in the Group ProjectManagement application (ASANA); track project performance, evaluate projects, providetimely updates to stakeholders.
2. You’ll be the point of contact for best practices in project management: develop templates, FAQs,
3. training for project risk and portfolio management
4. You willprovide updates to strategy and adapt roadmaps based onsustainability trendsanalysisof external trends: customers trends, technical innovation, regulatory landscape etc.
5. You’ll prepare brochures, presentations, updates to general management; generatereports and presentations on sustainability results& best practices.
6. You will support regional sustainability teams by leveraging Power BI to analyze and visualize data related to sustainability initiatives. This includes working with existing datasets or helping structure new ones, interpreting results, and providing actionable insights to guide business decisions and improve sustainability performance.
7. You’ll coordinate the internal reporting and external ratings: support sustainability team in the preparation of themandatorysustainability statement (CSRD). Support Lhoist legal entities in external sustainabilityassessments (e.g.Ecovadis).
About you:
8. Educational background in engineering, technical & operational domains (industrial engineering, chemical and process engineering etc.) supported by master’s degree in business and management domains.
9. Solid experience with data analysis tools and techniques: good knowledge of MS office (Excel,Power Point, Power BI, Word); prior experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
10. Fundamental knowledge in Eco Vadis is a competitive advantage.
11. Ability to approach complex challenges with business acumen and problem-solving skills.
12. Experience with business case evaluations – preferably on sustainability option
13. Knowledge of project management techniques and best practices.
14. Strong communication and presentation skills: ability to structure information for different audiences, conciseness and attention to details.
15. Hands on and dedicated. Eager to learn and develop, search for new competencies.
16. Implements the feedback effectively, able to self-reflect.
17. Ability to foster teamwork and to develop strong relationships based on trust, being a
18. reliable business partner respecting deadlines and commitments.
19. Professional proficiency in English is a must, another language is a plus.
