As an ideal candidate, you are a seasoned Senior Functional Test Engineer (API Automation & UI Testing) capable of leading functional and non-functional testing efforts. If you have a meticulous approach, technical acumen, and a strong commitment to quality, this role is designed for you.
* You define the testing strategy to ensure comprehensive software evaluations.
* You review business requests and analyze documentation for accuracy.
* You create and execute test cases, scenarios, and plans to validate functionality.
* You follow up on defects and issues, producing detailed test reports.
* You automate test cases utilizing various tools based on technological needs.
* You support involved teams and assist in estimating test efforts and planning.
* You contribute to the improvement of testing processes and deliverables.
Requirements
* You have at least 5 years of experience in software testing (manual and automated).
* You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
* You have strong experience with API testing and defining test strategies.
* You are experienced with manual UI testing in complex applications.
* You have hands‑on experience testing Java‑based services, REST APIs, and web services.
* You are comfortable working with XML, XSD, WSDL, and integration flows.
* You have experience analysing and modelling complex business processes and workflows.
* You have worked in Agile environments.
* You are familiar with Jira and Xray for test and defect management.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
* Experience with ReadyAPI, Katalon, or Selenium.
* Experience with Groovy scripting or similar.
* ISTQB certification.
* Familiarity with public‑sector or large enterprise systems.
* You are fluent in Dutch OR French and have full professional proficiency in English
