About the organization
Hays Antwerp is looking for a GL Accountant for a growing organization active in a broad professional services environment. For the site in Puurs, we are seeking a motivated professional who wants to help build a changing and dynamic organization.
Your new role
In this role, you ensure that all financial data is recorded accurately and completely in the general ledger. You are responsible for smooth month‐end and year‐end closings, analyze financial figures, and ensure that all processes comply with applicable accounting standards. You work closely with colleagues within the finance department and support the further optimization of internal processes.
Your profile
* You preferably have 1–2 years of experience as a GL Accountant (month‐end and quarter‐end closings, balance sheet reconciliations).
* A bachelor's degree in a financial field is highly recommended.
* You work accurately, analytically, and in a structured manner.
* You are driven, eager to learn, and feel comfortable in an environment with a lot of change.
* You have a good command of Dutch or English.
* You are proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
* You are flexible, independent, and at the same time a team player.
Responsibilities
* Posting journal entries (depreciation, provisions, corrections).
* Reconciling balance sheet accounts and intercompany balances.
* Performing month‐end and year‐end closings.
* Checking financial transactions and general ledger data.
* Preparing balance sheet and P&L reports.
* Preparing audit files and answering audit questions.
* Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
* Contributing to process improvements within the finance department.
Employment conditions
* Gross salary between €3,000 and €5,000.
