Head of Public Policy Affairs
Reports to: Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

About the Role
As Head of Public Policy Affairs at Proximus Global, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and defending the company's interests in legislative and regulatory environments. You will develop and implement public affairs strategies, engage with senior policymakers and regulatory officials, and act as a spokesperson at key industry events. This is a strategic leadership position with the opportunity to build and grow a team over time.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute comprehensive public affairs strategies aligned with Proximus Global's objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement : Represent the organisation at public events, conferences, and industry meetings. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to gather insights and assess public sentiment.
Policy Engagement & Advocacy : Monitor, analyse, and influence legislative and regulatory developments. Advocate for the company's interests with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
Strategic Communication : Prepare and deliver clear, compelling policy and position papers. Oversee external communications to ensure alignment with legal and public affairs strategies.
Insights & Analysis : Provide senior management with timely analysis of legislative and regulatory changes, and formulate effective public policy strategies.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams (product, strategy, legal, regulatory) to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated advocacy efforts.
Compliance & Ethics : Ensure all lobbying and advocacy activities comply with relevant laws and ethical standards.
Your Profile
What We're Looking For
Education: Master's degree in Law, Political Science, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years in public or regulatory policy, government relations, or a related area, with at least 5 years in a leadership role .
Languages: Fluency in English required; additional languages are an asset.
Skills & Competencies
Min 10+ years and a proven track record in advocacy and policy engagement
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities
Demonstrated success in cross-departmental collaboration
Excellent leadership and strategic thinking
Analytical skills to assess policy impacts and develop strategic responses
Project management experience overseeing policy initiatives
