My Brussels based client are looking for an SOA Architect on a full-time freelance basis.
Length: 1 year contact, starting January, with option to extend.
Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in Brussels.
Rate: up to €640 per day (depending on experience)
Languages: French or Dutch fluency (as well as English)
Sponsorship is not offered and relocation is not considered.

* Understanding of SOA and API principles (e.g., loose coupling architecture, microservices)

* Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce high-quality documentation
* Messaging models (e.g., publish–subscribe)
* Testing methodologies
* UML, BPMN

* Scripting languages
* Development methodologies (Enterprise Unified Process, Rational Unified Process, Scrum, Kanban)
* Project methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2)
* ITIL processes
* Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF)
* Best practices related to interoperability
* Tools and technologies: Oracle Service Bus, OBTM, Axway, WebLogic integrations, DataPower
* Web service editors (such as Eclipse) and XML editors
* Source management and version control using GIT
* Web service testing tools (SOAPUI, ReadyAPI, Postman)
* Knowledge of various client frameworks (Axis2, CXF, .NET, JAX-WS RI, Rampart)
* Jira, Confluence
* Mural, Miro
* Jenkins, Hudson, ELK stack
* Hands-on experience with web services (WSDL, SOAP, XML, XSD, XQuery, XPath, XSLT)
* Experience with the full lifecycle of a web application (design – development – testing – deployment – release – support) in a service-oriented architecture
* Experience working in a Scrum sprint cycle
