Overview
CLT Member – Bank Guarantee and Corporate Lending – Customer Contact - Brussels. The team within the Circle Bank Guarantee & Corporate Lending comprises two product areas: Bank Guarantee and Wholesale Banking (WB) Lending. The Bank Guarantee branch includes four Customer Loyalty Teams (CLTs): Customer Contact, Screener, Production, and Specialists. The Customer Contact CLT acts as a primary liaison for clients, assisting with questions about bank guarantees, managing postages, bank guarantee releases, and reconciliation within internal accounts, and ensuring telephone presence across the Circle.
Reporting line: you report hierarchically to the Circle Lead Bank Guarantee and Corporate Lending. This role sits in a development environment where new tools, automation, digitalisation, and cross-border collaboration are part of daily work.
Responsibilities
* Respond to client questions about bank guarantees and the issuance process via available channels with the aim of exceeding expectations and delivering a WOW experience.
* Support and guide clients when they contact the department via telephone.
* Direct clients to the appropriate tools to submit their requests (IBT; OneWeb, ORF, etc.).
* Seek answers to client questions using the various tools and programs available.
* Analyze bank guarantee release requests and, if needed, release cash pledges or other collateral; manage the daily mail and related tasks within the reconciliation scope.
* Take charge of the reconciliation portion, including mailbox management and related tasks.
* Ensure daily mail processing and oversee telephone coverage from 8:00 to 18:00 and handling of physical mail for the Circle Bank Guarantee and Corporate Lending.
Qualifications and Skills
* Customer orientation: quick analysis of client questions and a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience with empathy and high hospitality standards.
* Knowledge: strong knowledge of bank guarantees and related processes; familiarity with internal banking tools (Easy, KFC, Iris, Vantage, etc.), IRM (SWIFT) and TI+ is an asset.
* Languages: excellent Dutch and French; good English skills.
* Communication: effective client communication, including phone outreach.
* Resilience: ability to maintain overview across multiple tasks during peak activity.
* Planning and organisation: strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Tools: comfort with various tools and programs to respond to inquiries, including Outlook.
* Continuous improvement: identify improvement opportunities and relay to Circle Lead; willingness to be part of the solution.
* Risk awareness: stay updated on regulatory changes in the environment and apply them judiciously in daily tasks.
