Position Summary
The IT Senior Business Analyst – Supply Chain serves as the supports and enhances our global supply chain processes and systems. This role will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, driving continuous improvement across our Order to Cash (O2C) processes and the integrations that surround them, including logistics, warehousing, transportation, inventory management, procurement. This role will be based in Rumst, Belgium.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) Supply Chain modules, strong business process knowledge and experience, and experience supporting & leading projects involving Oracle EBS, Integrations and Supply Chain optimization and translating complex, often competing business needs into robust Oracle solutions, while acting as the trusted functional authority.
This is a hands-on, business-facing role for someone who thrives in a demanding stakeholder environment, can drive alignment without formal authority, and is comfortable operating in a landscape that is evolving from Oracle EBS toward Oracle Fusion.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Process Improvement
- Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance Teams to understand business requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze current state processes and design future state solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Own end-to-end functional design across the O2C lifecycle: order management, pricing and discounting, credit and holds, shipping and fulfillment, invoicing/billing
- Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and process mapping activities.
- Develop business case recommendations for process & technology improvements.
Oracle EBS Supply Chain Support
- Serve as the functional expert for Oracle EBS Supply Chain modules including Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping Execution, Warehouse Management.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Support configuration, testing, deployment, and user adoption initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical teams on system enhancements and issue resolutions.
- Support business processes related to Distribution & Fulfillment, Transportation, Warehouse/3PL operations, Inventory, Order Management, International shipping and trade compliance.
- Design, document, and govern 3PL / WMS integrations — inbound and outbound flows, inventory and shipment synchronization, ASNs — ensuring transaction and inventory record integrity across systems.
- Lead/coordinate requirements and testing activities for integrations between EBS and other systems including EDI. Own the customer and supplier EDI landscape — orders, acknowledgments, ASNs, invoices, and related messages — defining mapping requirements, onboarding new trading partners, and resolving exceptions with business and integration teams.
- Lead the functional design for Salesforce integrations with Oracle: Service Cloud (case-to-order/return visibility for Customer Support) and Commerce (digital order capture flowing into O2C), ensuring clean, reconciled data across the order lifecycle.
Embed trade compliance into O2C and logistics flows — import/export controls, customs and trade documentation, and document retention — partnering with the trade compliance function to keep cross-border transactions audit-ready.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather, document, prioritize and challenge business requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and implementation roadmaps.
- Support testing activities including UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Partner with business teams to define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting requirements.
- Support development of customer insights and analytics capabilities.
Project & Change Management
- Participate in or lead medium-to-large technology initiatives supporting commercial functions.
- Assist with project planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Support organizational change management, training, and user adoption activities.
- Promote standardized processes, governance, and documentation practices.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting Supply Chain functions.
- Strong understanding of commercial business processes including:
- Order Management
- Distribution
- Logistics
- Procurement
- Inventory Management
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping & documentation skills.
- Experience supporting multinational business operations.
- Eligibility to work in Belgium / the EU. Fluent professional English (written and spoken). Working proficiency in Dutch and/or French preferred.
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite Supply Chain, with deep, demonstrable expertise in Oracle EBS (R12) Order Management and the broader suite including Shipping Execution, Inventory, Purchasing
- Proven experience designing and supporting 3PL / warehouse (WMS) integrations and the data flows between ERP, logistics partners, and distribution centers. Hands-on experience with customer and supplier EDI (e.g., 830/850/855/856/810 or equivalents), including trading-partner onboarding and exception handling.
