Marketing communication specialist

About the role

As our Marketing Communication Specialist, you’ll turn ideas into activations, campaigns into conversations, and content into measurable business impact. You’ll play a key role in bringing our story to life across every touchpoint, ensuring we engage our audiences in meaningful and impactful ways.
Working closely with global and local business teams, you’ll manage multichannel campaigns, craft compelling content, and drive initiatives that strengthen our brand presence worldwide — both externally with customers and internally with employees.
As part of the central MarCom team, you will work alongside various marketing specialists and report to the Corporate Communications Director


Key Responsibilities

At B.I.G., we have high ambitions and aim to take leadership positions in key market segments. Effective communication and marketing are crucial to achieving this. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and implementing marketing communication strategies.

1. Create impactful content across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, PR, and advertising, such as crafting compelling content for landing pages and creating impactful messaging for booth designs. You will manage the full content process: from briefing and creation to publication and evaluation.
2. Lead internal communication initiatives to foster employee engagement, alignment, and culture building (e.g., newsletters, intranet updates, leadership messages, internal campaigns).
3. Support internal events, town halls, and engagement programs that connect employees with the brand vision and strategy.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to align marketing and communication initiatives.
5. Ensure brand identity and voice are consistent across all channels and materials.
6. Coordinate and manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers.

This versatile role involves working across different communication channels (inbound and outbound, online and offline) to ensure the right message reaches the right audience.

What you bring

7. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration.
8. At least 5 to 7 years of proven experience in marketing communication, internal communications, or corporate communications
9. Solid project management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
10. Deep understanding of content, media, and customer journey touchpoints.
11. Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
12. Exceptional communication and writing skills in Dutch and English.
13. Experience with tools such as HubSpot is a plus.
