Customer Program Manager

This role carries end-to-end responsibility for a portfolio of products and solutions, rather than a single product. You will be accountable for the full lifecycle, from strategy definition and execution to ongoing management and eventual phase-out.
You will balance customer value, technical feasibility and business performance, acting as the single point of accountability for all product-related decisions within your scope.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and own the product and portfolio strategy in alignment with the healthcare and segment strategy
2. Translate market, customer, technology and competitive insights into clear strategic choices
3. Set and communicate a multi-year roadmap at portfolio level
4. Make investment and prioritisation trade-offs and determine lifecycle positioning (invest, sustain, harvest, consolidate or exit)
5. Own the business case and economic performance of the portfolio, including margin, ROI, revenue mix and cash impact
6. Define and steer pricing strategies and value capture models, while managing cost, complexity and lifecycle profitability
7. Take full accountability for commercial outcomes, beyond delivery
8. Own the full lifecycle from opportunity identification to end-of-life, including go/no-go/stop decisions
9. Ensure consistent execution of lifecycle decisions across Sales, R&D, Operations and Service
10. Anticipate and manage risks such as obsolescence, capacity constraints, quality issues and margin erosion
11. Lead cross-functional teams without hierarchical authority and act as an integrator across Product, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Service and Sales
12. Provide clear direction and resolve conflicts with a strong business-first mindset, escalating when needed
13. Act as a role model for product management, coaching Product Managers and shaping governance and ways of working

14. Strong systems thinking with a clear understanding of value chains and lifecycle impact
15. Ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term business priorities
16. Confident decision-making, including making trade-offs with incomplete information
17. Naturally adopts a portfolio management mindset rather than focusing on individual products
18. Highly self-driven, proactive and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership
19. Comfortable coaching and challenging stakeholders, acting as a credible sparring partner for senior leadership
20. Sufficient technical depth to challenge R&D and system architects
21. Strong understanding of customer workflows, system integration, and market dynamics
22. Clear and structured communicator, able to translate complex trade-offs into actionable insights
23. Builds trust through consistency, clarity and sound judgement
