Context
For one of our clients in the Belgian banking sector, we are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to support strategic transformation projects related to payments and account management systems.
You will join a complex, regulated environment and work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams on high-impact banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Gather, analyse and formalize business requirements through workshops and stakeholder interviews
* Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories and process documentation
* Act as a bridge between business, IT, and external partners
* Contribute to the evolution of functional processes related to:
* Payments (SEPA Credit Transfers, Direct Debits, instant payments, cards)
* Account management (balances, transactions, postings, reconciliations)
* Support development teams during implementation phases
* Define and support test strategies, including UAT coordination
* Support UAT phase and post-implementation functional support
Profile
* Master's degree (Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent)
* At least 2 years experience as a Functional Analyst within the banking sector
* (mandatory requirement)
* Knowledge of:
* Payment systems and flows (SEPA, interbank payments)
* Core banking / account management systems
* Good understanding of banking IT architectures
* Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously in a multicultural environment
Technical & Functional Skills
* Requirements and project management tools like Azure DevOps
* Basic knowledge of SQL or databases is an asset
Languages
* French: fluent (mandatory)
* English and/or Dutch: considered as an asset
