We are looking for a chef to support the daily kitchen operations of our signature restaurant, eppo, while contributing to the diverse culinary offering of YUST Antwerp.
Team
You report directly to the Food & Events Manager and work closely with the Head of Service to ensure synergy between kitchen and front‑of‑house team.
Key Responsibilities
Support and supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and consistent quality across all shifts.
Guide and support the kitchen team during service, fostering a positive work environment and managing daily team schedule adjustments.
Oversee mise en place, prep planning, and service readiness for the restaurant, rooftop, and events.
Manage stock levels, conduct regular stock counts, and assist with ordering and supplier coordination.
Ensure dishes are presented according to standards while strictly enforcing food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
Support recipe updates, food cost control, and digital documentation in systems such as Growzer.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role (hotel environment a plus).
Proven experience in a professional kitchen.
Strong organisational and communication skills with a hands‑on, no‑nonsense mentality.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards during peak hours.
Solid understanding of food cost, stock management, and kitchen administration.
