Job Description – Secondary Systems Designer – Low Voltage
We are looking for a proactive engineer with strong secondary systems design skills to support projects in high-voltage electrical installations (36–380 kV). You will work on protection, control, automation, and measurement systems, ensuring that designs comply with standards and are implemented successfully on-site.
What you will do
* Assist the project manager during feasibility and preliminary study phases.
* Develop detailed designs, block diagrams, and principle diagrams for protection and control systems.
* Participate in equipment selection and ensure compatibility with project requirements and standards.
* Perform quality checks on internal and external studies and manufacturer documentation.
* Support factory acceptance tests for electrical equipment.
* Monitor low-voltage works on-site and coordinate with operators, suppliers, and contractors.
* Troubleshoot design and implementation issues and participate in technical meetings, testing, and commissioning.
* Ensure accurate As Built documentation is completed at project closure.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electricity, electronics, or automation.
* Excellent French and good understanding of Dutch.
* Proficiency in Windows Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
* Strong planning, organizational skills, and sense of responsibility.
* Assertive with a focus on quality, rigor, and precision.
* Willingness to develop specialized, high-expertise skills in secondary systems.
