Senior Risk & Change Manager


Overview

The Senior Risk & Change Manager will work within multidisciplinary teams to oversee risk and change management processes on complex projects. The role provides opportunities to broaden industry experience, develop professionally, and take ownership of key responsibilities. The position emphasizes collaborative working, mentorship, and strategic contribution, ensuring high standards of risk assessment, mitigation, and change control across all projects.


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the management and tracking of Early Warning Notifications (EWNs), risk registers, and change management processes.
* Organise and lead risk, change, and EWN review meetings with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
* Escalate submissions that exceed agreed thresholds or triggers.
* Manage communication related to change orders, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and required actions are taken.
* Maintain comprehensive databases for project risks and changes, ensuring accurate and clear documentation.
* Collaborate with risk owners to develop realistic risk impact assessments, ensuring mitigation efforts are accurately costed and scheduled.
* Prepare regular reports on the status of risks and changes for inclusion in project updates.
* Ensure all supporting documentation required for change approvals is complete and available.
* Monitor and report on project contingency budgets versus actual spend, maintaining logs to demonstrate drawdown of contingency funds.


Skills and Experience

* Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, with strong experience in risk and change management.
* Experience managing risk and change on large-scale, complex projects.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to balance detail-oriented and big-picture perspectives.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and a dynamic workload.
* Detail-focused and quality-driven.
* Experience in international or multi-location project environments is advantageous.
