Your team and your responsibilities
Vehicle Performance Engineering division (VPE) is part of Research and Development group at Toyota Motor Europe Technical Center in Zaventem, Belgium. Our division is in charge of:
1. Identifying and understanding legal, market and customer driven requirements and trends, and turning them into development targets for vehicles, their subsystems, and down to components
2. Development of passenger vehicles for European market
3. Researching state-of-the-art and beyond state-of-the-art technologies for implementation in future vehicles
Vehicle Safety team takes care of development and evaluation of Passive Safety performances of vehicles.
Supporting Toyota’s strong commitment to safety, we strive to guarantee compliance to all legal (EC Regulations), as well as other (real life safety, consumer ratings requirements covering Interior Safety, Protection of Pedestrians, Child Protection and crash performance of EU models.
Your project
You will support the crash safety team in improving the efficiency of its current development process of the entire vehicle body structure. Using innovative ideas and automation skills, you will reduce the time needed to run the crash CAE simulations and processing the results.
Activities included are
4. Automation of simulation model builds at subsystem level
5. Automation of simulation model modifications
6. Reduced order Model build and tuning to achieve sufficient correlation
7. Automation of the above
Your Profile
8. You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
9. Studying for master’s in engineering (mechanical, automotive, aerospace, or similar)
10. Experience of with some commercial CAE/post processing environments (ex. LS-Dyna, Beta CAE, ANSA, Meta, Primer
11. Strong competency in coding skills (Python, ANSA scripting, Object-oriented Programming)
12. Strong analytical problem-solving skills reinforced by good common sense
13. You are a quick and eager learner with a flexible mind and good eye for details
14. You are a team player with good communication skills inside a multicultural environment
15. Good self-organization and time management
