JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role will play a vital role in ideating, developing and assessing analytical tools and models, integrated within Pricing Operations technical system and HBX data sources, that support, implements and evaluates pricing decisions across the group. The candidate will work closely with Pricing Strategy to deliver data models and insights that have an impact on the business, as well as with Pricing Operations and Pricing New Business to automate their processes, delivering insights that drive business performance and profitability optimization.
* The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing scalable and automated reporting solutions for analyzing and monitoring performance, in terms of revenue and volume, of pricing actions, using top notch technology together with exceptional expertise in the use of SQL language for managing Snowflake databases within DBT platform, and great visualization skills using Tableau.
* Develop and project-lead research, analysis, and reporting that facilitates assessments of pricing actions and aides in the identification of improvement opportunities and spotlights needs for corrective action, recommending decisions on pricing.
* Analyzing all available forms of competitive information, both using internal and external data to identify both competitive threats and opportunities. Identify the correct benchmark to compare pricing actions against, in order to correctly evaluate the impact of the Pricing actions and separate it from external conditions impacting the market and/or IT related specific impacts.
* Conduct comprehensive pricing analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in our market positioning, reporting to key business areas with appropriate recommendations.
* Coordinate with other teams as a consumer of market trends, competitive intelligence, and sales performance data. Make best use of all systems and work closely with Data Governance to understand and fulfill data related best practices and procedures.
* Responsible for implementing the decisioning logic for near real-time pricing into scalable, efficient and automated DBT models, supporting the assessment of the process to identify improvements and revert actions. Able to translate pricing decision into SQL statements.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 5 years in pricing analysis or related analytical role
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Exceptional proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, DBT and data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
* Expertise in Python and Predictive Analysis preferred.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
* Strong desire to continuously learn and apply cutting-edge data analytics techniques and methodologies.
* Master’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, physics or related field.
* Fluent English, both written and verbal
* Great organizational skills.
