Designing opto-mechanical instruments is your core business. Within a multidisciplinary team, you are responsible for the mechanical design of complete products, sub-units, and/or components:
* Developing concepts for both Defence and Space projects that meet functional, thermal, and structural requirements
* Creating detailed CAD models, manufacturing and assembly drawings
* Participating in design reviews and supporting the writing of technical documentation
* Designing tools and test setups
* Providing technical support during assembly and testing
* Proposing and implementing design updates based on test results
Your Profile
* Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanics or Mechanical Design, or equivalent through experience
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
* Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
* Knowledge of MS Office
* Familiarity with PDM systems, 3DX (Dassault Systèmes), mechatronic design,... are a plus
* Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills
* Motivated to work in a high-tech environment where precision is key
* Fluent communication skills in Dutch and English
