Your Main Responsibilities:
You will be part of the Safety & Compliance team of Sabena Engineering to follow up all safety and compliance topics for all civil aviation operational departments. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Supporting of the compliance/safety management system activities, including hazard identification and risk assessment
2. Perform compliance/safety audits and, issue associated reports, incl monitoring implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
3. Act as quality/safety point of contact for customers, internal depts and Authorities (BCAA and foreign Authorities), both for day-to-day operations as external audits/visits organized throughout all Sabena Engineering Sites.
4. Process external and internal occurrence reports,
5. Perform internal safety investigations to derive safety recommendations to operational departments, follow up with Production.
6. Prepare training material and give training related to Compliance and Safety procedures
7. Monitor and assess regulatory changes, inform stakeholders
8. Support the maintenance of the approved manuals, develop/review quality/safety procedures, recommendations and solutions in close cooperation with involved department’s representatives.
9. Manage the publication of company approved documentation
10. Follow-up on assigned Compliance/Safety KPIs
11. Participate in projects (Continuous Improvement, regulatory scope extensions)
Your Profile :
12. You have a Master degree civil or industrial engineering, or equivalent by demonstrated experience
13. Previous 3 years experience in the aviation industry, preferably in a Compliance or Safety environment is an asset
14. You have knowledge of aviation regulations, more specifically for a PART 145 environment.
15. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and administrative skills.
16. You have a keen eye for details and work precisely and analytically, with the ability to maintain independence and objectivity
17. You think and act with a process- and improvement oriented mindset
18. You have a dynamic and flexible attitude, you ‘re an aviation addict, eager to learn and grow
19. You are fluent in English and French or Dutch with excellent communication skills.
