Overview: The Train Planning domain covers key operations of NMBS, including planning and executing services for Rolling Stock and Train Drivers from long-term to real-time. Our applications support monitoring Train Drivers' knowledge, safety certification, and driving analysis.
Role: As an IT Application Owner, you are responsible for managing a portfolio of NMBS applications, ensuring their performance, stability, and lifecycle. You will also work on functional analyses for application enhancements, collaborating with external suppliers or in-house development teams.
Responsibilities:
* Advise and collaborate with business process owners and IT management on application portfolio evolution.
* Create and prioritize the work backlog based on the strategic roadmap, and oversee changes with the business process owner.
* Coordinate changes in sprints and releases, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and quality completion.
* Manage and monitor applications end-to-end, ensuring optimal functioning, availability, lifecycle, and integration with other applications.
* Act as the first point of contact for Business Process Owners and IT staff, involving functional analysts when needed.
* Maintain contact with suppliers about new versions and releases.
* Handle incidents, problems, and service requests.
* Analyze, coordinate with developers, and test enhancements.
* Document solutions provided.
* Perform regression testing.
* Support long-term train planning publications.
* Guide and evaluate the handover from Project to Support (Build to Run).
* Master's degree or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (functional or technical analyst, developer, etc.) and within a support team.
* Fluency in English and Dutch or French
* Experience supporting software packages.
* Good knowledge of IT tools like MS Office, Confluence, Jira, etc.
* Experience with databases (SQL, Oracle) is a plus.
* Basic ITIL knowledge is required; extensive experience is a plus.
* Experience in the railway sector is a significant advantage.
