The primary responsibility of the P&C Retail Underwriting IT team is to provide and support mainframe applications enabling the creation of new business as well as the management of property and casualty insurance contracts in portfolio (fire, auto, miscellaneous risks).
You will occupy a Business Analyst position within the IT P&C Retail Underwriting team and you will dedicate yourself exclusively to activities related to projects and maintenance. Your role will consist of defining business requirements (including test scenarios), ensuring the follow-up of IT delivery and, in certain cases, testing the functionalities provided by our development team before handing them over to the relevant business unit.
Your role
As a Business Analyst within the P&C Retail Agreements product team, you will be responsible for:
* Gathering and writing business requirements; taking an active role in defining business requirements by challenging them if necessary;
* Ensuring the maturity of requirements before transmitting them to the (offshore) development team;
* Involving the test team in the requirements definition phase to prepare test scenarios and/or prepare and carry out the tests yourself;
* Escalating delivery-related risks in a timely manner and working towards the resolution of errors or problems;
* Contributing to a smooth transition from application project to maintenance by documenting the application or applications.
Your profile
For this Business Analyst position you should:
* Be fluent in French and English, with Dutch being an asset;
* Hold a master's degree or equivalent qualification;
* Be stress-resistant and results-oriented;
* Show interest in IT topics (Mainframe);
* Have a desire to develop your knowledge.
