PROCESS ENGINEER - LEUVEN REGION (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONWe're currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to support and continuously improve advanced manufacturing operations within a high-precision, cleanroom-based production environment.In this role, you will take ownership of critical manufacturing tools and processes, ensuring stable operation, high quality output, and ongoing optimization of process performance.You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, production, and external equipment suppliers, to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and introduce new processes into production.The position requires a hands-on, analytical mindset and a strong ability to translate technical insight into robust, repeatable manufacturing solutions.This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to process development, operational excellence, and production scalability in a technologically advanced and fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and monitor the performance of manufacturing tools, proactively identifying and resolving tool or process issues and performance driftsConduct thorough root-cause analyses, identify recurring problems, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actionsIntroduce, qualify, and release new processes into the production environment, including operator training and process validationDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve process and tool documentation, including best-known methods (BKM), process baselines, tool fingerprints, and application notesActively contribute to new process development and process enhancement initiativesDrive continuous improvement projects with a focus on quality, cost reduction, throughput, and lead-time optimizationPropose, plan, and execute process optimization projects to improve manufacturing flow, efficiency, cost structure, and product qualityProvide clear feedback on production performance and ongoing issues during regular production planning and review meetingsSupport the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new manufacturing tools and equipmentQualifications & CompetenciesMaster’s degree in science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience in advanced manufacturing, microfabrication, or high-precision process environments is a strong advantageStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to troubleshootingEffective communicator and collaborative team player, able to work across disciplines and with external partnersAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDetail-oriented, accurate, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityFluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an assetThe Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
