Role Context
As part of a growth strategy and the deployment of the Res Suite application to additional regions, our client is seeking a Res Suite Support Officer.
The successful candidate will support the full Res Suite application chain, from origination and tendering to booking in trading systems for risk analysis, invoicing, and contract lifecycle management of renewable energy purchase agreements (PPAs). The role acts as the functional point of contact for all internal users, including Originators, Structurers, Traders, ResOps, and Back Office teams.
Key Responsibilities
User Support:
* Manage requests and incidents from business teams (access rights, functional questions).
* Conduct first-level functional investigations to isolate issues and resolve simple incidents.
* Ensure clear communication and timely updates with stakeholders.
* Contribute to documentation and post-incident learning (REX).
Application Support:
* Monitor production systems and proactively detect anomalies.
* Participate in post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with development teams to enhance Res Suite functionality and support processes.
Incident and Problem Management:
* Track and manage tickets throughout their lifecycle.
* Identify recurring problems and propose long-term solutions.
* Prioritize issues with business and development teams to ensure critical cases are addressed.
Candidate Profile
Technical Skills:
* Proficient in SQL (PostgreSQL) for querying and data analysis.
* Knowledge of Python scripting for automation and investigation.
* Ability to use APIs independently to reproduce system interactions.
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools (OpenSearch, Sentry, Splunk).
* Understanding of classical software architectures (3-tier, event-based, CQRS).
Functional Skills:
* Knowledge of energy markets and/or financial products.
* Understanding of PPA lifecycle and renewable asset management.
* Familiarity with P&L, risk, and trading systems is a plus.
Behavioral Skills:
* Quick learner with curiosity for complex business domains.
* Proactive, solution-oriented, and client-focused.
* Clear written and verbal communication.
* Ability to manage stress and prioritize multiple requests.
Education & Experience:
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in application support or functional analysis in energy or financial markets.
Languages:
* Fluent in English (mandatory).
* French or Dutch (highly recommended).
