About the Role
RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Management IT System-Architect (Freelance) for an 11-month project with our client in Brussels, Belgium. This is a high-impact opportunity to architect, optimize, and secure hybrid cloud and datacenter environments that power critical business operations across Europe. You'll be at the heart of infrastructure innovation, driving automation, reliability, and security for a dynamic, international organization.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and maintain installations of new and existing datacenters (VMware hypervisors, Dell hardware)
* Configure and manage VMware environments, including daily and periodic tasks (VLANs, storage, optimizations, updates)
* Collaborate with local and international IT teams for on-site interventions and support
* Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments
* Drive improvements and standardization within IaC environments
* Oversee AWS IAM, service accounts, API key management, and CloudHSM support, maintenance, and DR testing
* Support Azure App Services in partnership with third-party developers and security teams
* Perform security optimizations in collaboration with security specialists
* Administer Veeam Backup & Replication: maintenance, patching, agent updates, backup job management, and infrastructure optimization
* Coordinate with third-party suppliers for Oracle server patching
* Support SQL Server environments: maintenance, monitoring, patching, migrations, and new installations
* Deploy and maintain Varonis platform for privilege management, reporting, and SaaS migration projects
* Maintain and optimize custom Datasquare solutions for CSV-to-SQL processing, including patch management and incident follow-up
* Provide documentation and audit support for compliance (e.g., Deloitte audits)
* Participate in improvement projects, offsite backups, and application-aware backup initiatives
Technical Skills
* Expertise in VMware ESXi and Dell hardware (servers, storage, appliances)
* Advanced AWS knowledge, including Terraform, IAM, and CloudHSM
* Experience with Azure App Services and security principles in Azure
* Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication (certification is a plus)
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
* Experience with Varonis or a strong willingness to learn rapidly
* Solid understanding of automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving skills
Language Proficiency
* Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (written and spoken)
