Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Consolidation & IFRS Expert (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Brussels.
Our client is a fast-growing company active in the technology sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing the intercompany reconciliation process, investigate and solve mismatch in collaboration with local accounting teams, document the process
* Data stewardship in maintaining entities and business unit tables in intercompany tool
* Responsible for the monthly preparation of IFRS 16 bookings as well as the bi-annual update of contracts in the central tool
* Responsible for quality and consistency controls of the consolidated package
* First point of contact to local finance teams (global finance services) to analyse and propose solutions for errors found in package
* Partner with local finance teams (global finance services) to monitor data quality, assure accuracy and improve processes
* Proactively identify, investigate, correct and remediate discrepancies or irregularities in financial data's in an autonomous manner
* The consolidation of subgroups
The required profile for the Consolidation & IFRS Expert (m/f/x) position:
* A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience in an accounting environment, audit (BIG 4) or finance consolidation department
* A strong understanding of financial principles and accounting concepts, including IFRS standards
* Fluency in English
* The ability to work in a highly information system-driven environment, including proficiency in Office tools (mainly Excel), SharePoint, Consolidation and Reporting tools, and disclosure management solutions, ). Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
* A collaborative attitude and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills fostering positive working relationship with other departments
* An innovative mindset and the ability to act as an agent of change, actively seeking continuous improvements.
