Freelance IT Support Engineer As an IT Support
Engineer in the Data Centre, you will play a critical role in
supporting the successful deployment, maintenance, and ongoing
management of the company’s new Data Centre infrastructure. You
will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, configuring,
and maintaining hardware and software, ensuring high availability
and efficiency across all systems. Your efforts will be crucial in
ensuring a smooth transition and continuous operation of the Data
Centre. Responsibilities: - Assist in the setup, configuration, and
deployment of servers, networking equipment, storage devices, and
other hardware for the Data Centre. - Perform routine maintenance
tasks such as firmware and software updates, system backups, and
hardware diagnostics. - Ensure proper cable management, rack
mounting, and environmental monitoring for optimal system
performance. - Respond to and resolve technical support requests
related to Data Centre hardware and software. - Diagnose and repair
hardware failures, network connectivity issues, and performance
bottlenecks. - Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to
resolve complex technical issues. - Document incidents,
troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the company’s IT support
platform. - Monitor system performance and data traffic within the
Data Centre, ensuring minimal downtime. - Analyze logs and reports
to identify potential issues and proactively implement corrective
measures. - Ensure that all hardware and software components meet
performance standards. - Provide support for the installation,
configuration, and troubleshooting of networking equipment,
including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. -
Collaborate with network teams to ensure seamless communication
between the Data Centre and remote locations. - Manage network
monitoring tools to track bandwidth usage, identify issues, and
