📌 The Role: Finance & Accounting Manager
📍 Location: Belgium
🧭 Reporting to: Deputy CEO
🤝 Collaboration with: Management Team, Finance Team, External Advisors
As Finance & Accounting Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of the financial function across the group. You lead a team of experienced accountants and act as a trusted business partner to the management team.
This role combines operational responsibility with strategic involvement and offers a clear growth path towards a Finance Director position.
⚡ What You’ll Be Doing
Operational Responsibilities
* Take final responsibility for the full accounting cycle across multiple entities (month-end, year-end, audits, tax).
* Manage intercompany transactions and support the financial integration of new entities.
* Consolidate, analyze, and report financial results and present insights to management.
* Act as the primary financial contact for banks, auditors, and external advisors.
* Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while ensuring efficient and transparent processes.
* Play a key role in ERP implementation and further financial digitalization.
Strategic Responsibilities
* Optimize financial processes and reporting flows.
* Support budgeting and contribute to strategic decision-making.
* Gradually take on a broader role in shaping the group’s financial strategy.
🧬 Who We’re Looking For
You are a senior finance professional who thrives in a growing SME or scale-up environment. You combine strong financial expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset and enjoy working close to the business.
🔑 You’ll Likely Bring
* Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
* 10+ years of relevant experience in finance (e.g. Financial Controller, Finance Manager).
* Solid expertise in reporting, consolidation, and financial process optimization.
* Experience in leading or coaching teams.
* Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Fluency in Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
* Experience with ERP systems (Business Central is a plus).
