Our client is one of the leading food brokers in the Benelux region, representing renowned national and international brands. Their Belgian division focuses on "Chilled & Ambient" products, collaborating with the top 3 retailers in the region as well as smaller retailers and hard discounters. The company fosters a collaborative culture and offers employees plenty of autonomy to manage their roles effectively.

About the job

As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial development of the "Chilled & Ambient" product range across the Belux region. Your key responsibilities will include:

Negotiating commercial agreements: You will take a leading role in negotiations with major retailers, working alongside senior leadership to secure key deals.

Promotion & action plan: Develop and execute promotional strategies in collaboration with the marketing team, translating these into actionable tasks for the field team.

Business planning: Co-create and manage annual business plans, ensuring they align with brand objectives and internal goals.

Client relationships: Build and nurture long-term professional relationships with key retail clients in the Belux region, becoming the main point of contact for your portfolio.

About the ideal candidate

Master's degree: Ideally in economics or a related field.

Retail experience: Strong knowledge of the retail landscape, especially within FMCG, with experience in sales, key account management, trade marketing, or category management (10 years minimum)

Bilingual: Fluent in both French and Dutch.

Analytical and dynamic: Results-driven, able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Proactive and flexible: You take initiative, are adaptable, and eager to take full ownership of your role and responsibilities.
