Role: Country Sales Lead for Belgium. Together, we can beat cancer. Role Purpose
As the Country Sales Lead for Belgium, you will drive Varian’s commercial strategy across a highly specialized radiotherapy market. You will strengthen relationships with oncology centers, lead account strategies, and accelerate the adoption of advanced radiotherapy solutions across Belgian healthcare institutions. You will collaborate with regional and global teams to align Belgium’s strategic direction with Varian’s mission.
Your Responsibilities
* Commercial Strategy & Growth: Define and execute Belgium’s commercial strategy to support revenue growth and strengthen Varian’s leadership in radiotherapy.
* Forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline in line with Varian’s expectations.
* Identify opportunities in public, private, and academic hospitals across Flanders, Wallonia, and Brussels.
* Customer Engagement in the Belgian Market: Build and maintain trusted relationships with radiation oncology departments, medical physicists, hospital executives, and procurement bodies; lead strategic account planning for major oncology centers; engage in industry events and congresses; communicate Varian’s clinical and operational value proposition.
* Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Belgian sales team in a culture aligned with Varian’s values; support talent development and ensure adherence to commercial processes and go-to-market approaches.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee tender submissions, pricing, and contract negotiations in compliance with Belgian regulations; support product launches and collaborate with Service, Marketing, and Clinical teams to ensure excellent customer experience throughout the product lifecycle.
Your Profile
* 8+ years of commercial experience in medical technology, ideally capital equipment; Proven success engaging with Belgian healthcare organizations and procurement processes.
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing sales teams or commercial operations.
* Ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders.
* Experience in radiation oncology, radiotherapy workflows, or oncology technology solutions.
* Deep understanding of Belgian oncology care pathways, reimbursement frameworks, and hospital funding structures; familiarity with major Belgian oncology networks and academic radiotherapy centers.
* Mission-driven with a strong customer orientation and the ability to build trusted partnerships.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to work autonomously within a matrixed organization.
* High integrity, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-evolving technological and clinical environment.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
* Fluent in Dutch and English, with a good knowledge of French.
