The Planning engineer assists the Base Maintenance Manager in developing, coordinating, and managing mid- and long-term resources (Manpower, Tooling, GSE, Facility, new capabilities ...) plans.
The purpose is to plan well in advance required resources to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and operational efficiency and effectiveness.
This role involves collaboration with various departments to optimize maintenance activities, minimize aircraft downtime, and ensure the safety and compliance.
Main activities and responsibilities:

o Forecast and prepare a comprehensive mid- and long-term manpower plan taking in consideration the capacity needed to cope with the maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and operational efficiency and effectiveness.
o Prepare a training plan to ensure that the staff required for specific maintenance tasks and activities are trained and qualified.
o Forecast and prepare a mid- and long-term plan for the required tooling and GSE to cope with the maintenance plans. This includes any requirements for a new aircraft type to be maintained in ASLM BRU.
o Prepare and plan the new capability projects with concerned departments in ASLM BRU.
o Ensure that contracts/agreements with Third Party Suppliers are in place to cover the main shortage of capabilities.
o Ensure an efficient follow-up of the projects related to the hangar facilities and to the environmental improvement actions.
o Ensure that the resource plans are well considered in the yearly budget.
o Act as a liaison between maintenance and other departments to facilitate effective communication regarding the preparation of maintenance resources plans.
o Provide regular updates to management on maintenance resources plans status, upcoming projects, and any potential issues affecting the readiness to cope with the maintenance plan requirements.
Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates

o Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

o Part 66 certificate
Preferred Experience and Knowledge

o Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning or similar planning activities.
o Familiarity with maintenance tracking software and aviation regulatory requirements.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management software.
o Language knowledge: English is a must, French and Dutch preferred.
