Customer Services Representative

As a customer services representative, you play an important role within the business unit for order and logistics management planning for customers.

This position is primarily responsible for the administration of the sales order process, sometimes with production planning based on customer forecasts.

1. You will process the internal systems related to quotation control, budget control, etc. You will enter & acknowledge purchase orders for group companies at overseas locations. You manage customer orders into the local plant in Gent. You plan appropriate order quantities based on customer forecasts.
2. You will update and maintain delivery/shipment schedules and actively manage deferred shipments from the original schedule. You will manage inventory in the external warehouse based on customer forecasts.
3. You monitor production status and communicate with your colleague planner to manage shipment schedules, and prepare billing for customers based on orders and/or usage. You control the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring shipment timing aligns with order completion, and prepare commercial shipping documents including invoices and AWB from logistic partners.
4. Finally, you ensure invoicing is completed accurately and sent through proper channels to ensure timely payments as per payment terms.


Profile

* You have 3-5 years of experience in an international B2B industrial environment, preferably in shipping, logistics, or expedition within an international framework. Knowledge of inventory control and stock management is required.
* Basic knowledge of export/import procedures, incoterms, and international logistics is recommended. Strong communication skills in English and Dutch, both oral and written, are essential; additional languages are a plus.
* Experience with PC-based communication tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, and internal company systems is required.
