Director, Product Strategy & Innovation
The Product Strategy & Innovation group is part of CP&I and GCO in GSK. This group is a small, responsive innovation team that defines and leads a program of work that re‑defines the way we operationalize clinical research. The team builds, buys or collaborates on novel solutions, and takes them through the Test and Start process to enable scalable solutions that realize significant value, efficiency and acceleration across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities for innovation to accelerate GCO activities.
* Act as the business product owner, working with cross‑functional teams (tech, domain experts, data engineers, business SMEs) to deliver innovation solutions aligned with the GCO vision.
* Collaborate in discovery and brainstorming activities to simplify the GCO technology ecosystem, including systems, site and patient workflows.
* Identify areas of optimisation and efficiency based on product‑development experience.
* Manage product‑development budget and ensure ROI commitments are met.
* Drive adoption of new processes and products within the organization.
* Maximise opportunities that are worked on and developed.
* Lead one or two major product initiatives.
* Be hands‑on with teams to explore, test, iterate, and validate potential solutions for stakeholders and customers.
Stakeholder Management
* Engage key stakeholders across cross‑functional teams.
* Interact with functional heads and department leads to deliver innovation and value through product development.
* Ensure senior stakeholders adopt tooling and that solutions address business problems.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Life Science, or equivalent work experience.
* Experience leveraging data analytics, business intelligence, or machine learning to improve enterprise planning, operational efficiency, and strategic decision‑making.
* Proven track record of launching successful products to market, with measurable adoption and impact.
* Experience with software products, predictive modeling, and applied ML/AI algorithms.
* Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing teams, coaching, mentoring and fostering continuous improvement.
* Expertise in at least two of: business process reengineering, business transformation, process optimization, product management, engineering, product design, or related field.
* Experience prototyping and solution exploration using platforms such as VS Code, Copilot, Lovable, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge and application of systems thinking to optimize interconnected processes at scale.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
* Broad knowledge of Pharma industry processes within R&D, clinical development, or drug discovery.
* Ability to lead cross‑functional teams through complex, multi‑phase projects.
* Capability to build consensus, influence across matrixed organizations, and translate problems into actionable solutions with measurable business value.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills aligning business needs with senior and executive teams.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position in Poland ranges from PLN 408,750 to PLN 681,250 gross. Depending on role and internal policies, the position may also be eligible for a bonus and/or awards for exceptional performance. All statutory benefits comply with Polish law. Additional benefits may include private healthcare, additional paid days off, life insurance, private pension plan, paid parental leave, and family member leave.
