Our EU Affairs team in Brussels plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital policy landscape across Europe. We engage with EU institutions, industry stakeholders, and civil society to advocate for policies that support investment, innovation, sustainability, and digital inclusion.

What you’ll do
Vodafone Group - Internship Opportunity: EU Affairs Team (Brussels, Belgium)
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
As an intern in the EU Affairs team, you will support a wide range of activities that contribute to Vodafone’s public affairs and advocacy work at the EU level. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Track key developments in EU institutions (European Commission, Parliament, Council) and relevant regulatory bodies.
2. Monitor legislative files, events, and debates relevant to Vodafone’s priorities.
3. Prepare concise briefings, summaries, and analysis of policy documents, events, and stakeholder positions.
4. Assist in drafting meeting requests, speaking points, and background materials for external engagements.
5. Support the organisation of Vodafone-hosted events, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings in Brussels.
6. Attend external events and report back on key takeaways.
7. Help maintain internal trackers, weekly reports, and priority lists and provide administrative support if required.
8. Prepare slides and briefing packs for internal meetings and governance processes.
9. Take notes and follow up on action items from internal and external meeting
Who you are
10. We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about EU policy and digital transformation. The ideal candidate will have:
11. A background in European studies, political science, international relations, law, communications, or a related field.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional EU languages are a plus).
13. A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
14. Familiarity with EU institutions and legislative processes.
15. A genuine interest in technology, innovation, and public policy. Prior knowledge of the sector is a plus.
