Work arrangements: Hybrid (remote & on site)
Requisite: The internship must be mandatory & done in the framework of the curriculum, for which an agreement must be signed between GSK, the student and the Educational Establishment.
Remuneration: according to Belgian legal requirements, the internship will not be paid. However, some expenses will be reimbursed.

What will you do?
The primary objective of this group is to explore, assess the best way to become one integrated, efficient, and agile logistic supply chain that ensures end-to-end visibility (Inventory, Cold chain, Sustainability, Serialization) supported by one E2E network and one E2E single Operating model. We aim to assess and compare potential solutions, including a 4PL model and an in-house TMS, leveraging new technologies like IOT, Big data & Analytics and AI & automation to determine the optimal approach that meets our long-term operational goals.
1. Design a new operating model that merges our two existing supply chains into one integrated supply chain including flawless connection with planning. The model should be adaptable, scalable, and focused on improving both operational efficiency, resilience, lead-time and service level. A comprehensive review of our current supply chain processes is essential. We seek recommendations on how to streamline and enhance existing operations to build a more sustainable, agile, and cost-effective Logistic supply chain. The key criteria for evaluation should include future-proof processes & tools leveraging Logistic 4.0 technology, end-to-end visibility, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, focus on Value creation, Interoperability and agility. The review should focus on improving efficiency, minimizing risks, and reducing costs while ensuring robust patient service.
2. Design E2E Visibility from Manufacturing exit to the delivery of finished products to customers on Cold Chain, Inventory visibility, Lead-time, Sustainability and Serialization. This visibility allows businesses to gain real-time insights into their logistics operations, enabling proactive management of potential issues, improved coordination with supply chain partners, and enhanced customer service. The benefits of E2E logistics visibility include reduced disruptions, better risk mitigation, cost control through efficient inventory management, enhanced transparency & product security and overall improved customer satisfaction
3. Design one E2E optimized Logistic Network from manufacturing to customer involving a comprehensive planning and integration of all logistics activities: lead time, Warehouse capacity, route parameter, Logistic bill of Material and volume – palettes forecast translation. This holistic approach ensures seamless coordination across the entire supply chain, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs. The benefits of E2E logistics network design includes improved inventory management, reduced lead times & costs, enhanced visibility and control over the supply chain, and ultimately, higher customer satisfaction due to timely and reliable deliveries
4. Contribute to the strategy creation, validation, implementation of the 3 key Pillars (Operation model, E2E Visibility, Network Design)
