About the Role
We're working with a busy FMCG manufacturer seeking a Freelance QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance efforts, drive compliance with food safety regulations, and support continuous improvement across production processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and continuously optimize the Quality Management System (QMS)
* Lead internal and external food safety audits (BRC/IFS/ISO/BRC compliance)
* Monitor and ensure compliance with food legislation, including traceability and labeling
* Manage non-conformities (NCRs), corrective actions (CAPA), and root cause investigations
* Coach and guide QC teams in sampling, testing, and metrology activities
* Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain to implement quality improvements
* Produce and maintain quality documentation, certifications, and technical dossiers
Skills & Profile
* Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
* Proven experience in QA/QC roles within food manufacturing/processing
* Strong analytical mindset with hands-on approach to audits and problem-solving
* Excellent communicator: strong Dutch, French, and English skills preferred
* Structured, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset
