The Role:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth within industrial pharmaceutical markets, with a particular focus on emerging markets in Africa.
This role suits a sales-driven, technically minded professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships and positioning complex, quality-critical products. You will manage key accounts while actively developing new business opportunities in expanding international markets.
The position is fully remote and offers exposure to global customers and high-growth regions.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business development across industrial pharmaceutical customers
* Manage and grow existing key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships
* Identify and develop opportunities in emerging markets, particularly Africa
* Present and sell technical, quality-driven products in a persuasive and consultative manner
* Work closely with internal Quality, Technical, and Operations teams to support customers
* Maintain a strong understanding of product quality, compliance, and customer requirements
* Prepare commercial proposals, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy
Key Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field
* Experience within industrial pharmaceutical environments
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management
* Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, with confidence selling technical products
* Commercially driven mindset with interest in international and emerging markets
* Understanding of quality and regulated industry standards
* Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment
* Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
