Our client is seeking an Investor Relations Expert to join the Strategy, Metrics, Investor Relations, and Rating Agencies department. This team is responsible for shaping and maintaining the company’s strategic framework, managing relationships with rating agencies and institutional fixed income investors, and supporting corporate finance activities.
Investor Relations focuses on topics that matter most to external stakeholders — including business strategy, financial performance, risk, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). As regulatory requirements and market expectations evolve, the role requires adaptability, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn.
Key responsibilities of this role would include:
1. Prepare and coordinate regular and ad-hoc presentations for investors and rating agencies, highlighting our client’s strategy and activities.
2. Manage responses to inquiries from investors and rating agencies.
3. Contribute to the drafting of legal documentation for debt and capital market transactions (e.g., base prospectuses).
4. Maintain and improve the investor relations section of our client’s website.
5. Collaborate closely with Finance, Risk, Balance Sheet Management, ESG, and Communications teams to ensure consistent and effective external messaging.
6. Monitor updates in rating agency methodologies and assess potential impacts.
7. Support the regular review and development of the company’s strategic framework and related presentations.
8. Assist the Corporate Finance function as needed.
9. Contribute to cross-functional research and strategic projects.
Requirements
10. Education & Experience: Master’s degree (preferably in economics or finance) with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
11. Financial Knowledge: Strong expertise in banking, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks.
12. Languages: Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken.
13. Strong analytical abilities and structured thinking.
14. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial topics into clear messages.
15. Independent, proactive, and results-oriented.
16. Flexibility: Comfortable working across locations (Antwerp, Anderlecht) as well as in a hybrid setup.
17. Plus: Knowledge of our client’s business is a distinct advantage, as understanding the organization is essential to representing it externally.
