A lot of manual labour goes into reading incoming requests, processing emails and attachments from central mailboxes, forwarding to colleagues, scheduling and prioritizing tasks and archiving information into insurance back-office systems.

Role
As Account Manager at Paperbox, you are the commercial engine within our existing customer base. You work hand-in-hand with our Customer Success team: they own the relationship and drive adoption, you identify growth opportunities and convert them into expanded partnerships.
You're not an account administrator waiting for inbound requests - you're a hunter who knows how to turn trust into revenue.

Today, with more than 75 insurance customers, we’re entering a true scale-up phase. We’re growing fast, with the ambition to double our ARR, and we’re looking for someone who wants to help put oil on that fire and guide us to the next level.

Your responsibilities
Expansion & Revenue Growth
* Own the full expansion cycle: identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, build business cases, negotiate and close;
* Proactively map white space within existing accounts and develop account growth plans;
* Work with Customer Success to identify accounts ready for expansion based on usage and adoption signals;
* Build and maintain accurate forecasting in HubSpot;
* Tailor value propositions to the specific context of each customer - operational, regulatory, and strategic.
Sales Excellence
* Run compelling expansion conversations using value-based selling frameworks;
* Define clear success criteria and ROI together with customers;
* Navigate complex buying cycles involving IT, compliance, and procurement;
* Ensure smooth handoffs with Customer Success to protect retention and long-term adoption.
Cross-functional collaboration
* Partner with Customer Success to align on account health and growth signals;
* Share customer insights with Product to help shape the roadmap;
* Collaborate with Marketing on customer stories, case studies, and events;
* Represent Paperbox at industry events and networking opportunities.
You are a great fit if you have
Commercial Drive (Hunter!)
* Proven track record of hitting and exceeding quota in an expansion or upsell role;
* Experience running consultative, value-based sales processes;
* B2B SaaS or enterprise software experience is a strong plus;
* You love finding opportunity in existing accounts — not just waiting for it to surface.
Sales Excellence
* Experience managing multi-stakeholder deals and customers
* Strong communication and negotiation skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus )
* CRM discipline and data-driven forecasting (HubSpot experience a plus)
Collaboration & Growth Mindset
* Entrepreneurial spirit: self-starter who thrives in a scale-up environment
* Natural collaborator with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product;
* Willingness to travel regularly
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
* Native Dutch proficiency
* Experience in insurance or financial services industry
