 
        
        We’re looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join the development team building a next-generation electronic nursing record application used by home care professionals across Flanders. You’ll help shape and optimize the database backbone of a high-impact healthcare platform developed in collaboration between multiple regional teams.
This is a hands-on technical role for a developer who enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You’ll design, implement, and tune database logic, ensuring reliable data handling, high performance, and secure operations.
Key Responsibilities
 * Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, views, and triggers to support application functionality.
 * Manage and optimize Oracle database structures, including tables, views, scheduled jobs, and schema configurations.
 * Ensure secure and efficient transaction handling and data integrity across business-critical workflows.
 * Troubleshoot and tune complex SQL and PL/SQL queries for optimal performance.
 * Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and version control using Redgate Source Control and Git.
 * Collaborate with analysts, backend and frontend developers, and testers within an agile project team.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
 * Proven, hands-on experience with Oracle database development.
 * Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle database internals (tables, views, jobs, schema management, and security model).
 * Solid understanding of transaction handling and data integrity principles.
 * Proactive attitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
 * Experience with collections, object types, and bulk operations.
 * Familiarity with Redgate Source Control and Git.
 * Experience in SQL performance tuning for high-load environments.
