Since a few years we are expanding our cybersecurity and AI security team to bring that same trusted, independent perspective to the digital world. Safety can no longer be guaranteed without addressing cybersecurity and AI security. A connected machine, an AI-driven process, or a digital product carries risks that are just as real as a faulty industrial process, and the consequences of getting it wrong can be just as severe. That is why Kiwa has built a dedicated “Trust in Digital” team. We approach cybersecurity and AI security the way we have always approached safety: independently, rigorously, and from a position of trust. Not as an IT vendor, but as a neutral third-party assurance partner with deep industrial roots. The mission of our Trust in Digital team is to allow our customers to innovate in confidence and to uphold trust in digital. A wave of new regulation (NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), the AI Act, the Machinery Regulation) is creating both urgency and opportunity. Our customers need a partner who understands both the technology and the regulatory landscape, and who can provide independent, credible assurance. That is exactly where we stand. We recently launched the Kiwa Trust in Digital Partner Program, bringing together an ecosystem of expert partners to deliver end-to-end assurance: from training and design to independent verification, testing, and certification. The program is growing fast, and so is the team behind it. Our European team of top experts has a deliberately broad scope. Depending on your background and interests, you will work in one or more of these areas: Deliver OT security consulting, gap assessments, and risk quantification for asset owners, system integrators, and product manufacturers; Support companies in achieving certification for CRA, IEC 62443 (2-4, 3-3, 4-1, 4-2), ISO 27001, CyFun and NIS2 compliance; Conduct independent cybersecurity and AI security assessments, penetration tests, and third-party risk assessments; Develop and deliver training on cybersecurity, AI security, NIS2, product security, CRA, and IEC 62443; Build thought leadership and service offerings where functional safety overlaps with cybersecurity, including cyber HAZOP, cyber LOPA, and cyber-physical assurance cases; Develop and execute guidance on industrial AI, autonomous machines, AI Act compliance, and AI governance; Help guiding companies in building governance frameworks combining ISO 27001, CyFun, and IEC 62443; Act as a Trust in Digital ambassador with our customers and within the international Kiwa family; Speak at conferences, write articles, and represent Kiwa/Vinçotte at industry events. This role, open to both permanent employment and contractor arrangements, is mainly Belgium-based, with occasional international travel (within EU). Education: Master's or engineering degree, or equivalent gained through professional experience and self-learning. You are open/able to continuous learning to keep developing your expertise and credentials. Experience: Hands-on experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity — you understand the difference between an IT firewall and a Purdue model; 10 years of experience in cyber security domain Previous consulting, auditing, or teaching experience is a strong plus; Familiarity with one or more of IEC 62443, NIS2, CRA, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, AI Act. Not required to have it all, but a genuine eagerness to master more. Languages: English: fluent (= working language of our European team and Kiwa group); Dutch: fluent to communicate confidently with customers in Belgium. French: is a plus Competencies: A razor-sharp focus on customer outcomes, customer satisfaction, customer centricity; Able to explain complex technical and regulatory topics in a structured, clear, and compelling way to both engineers and boardrooms; A self-starting, eternal learner who is energised by being recognised as a domain expert; Comfortable operating with a degree of independence while contributing to a close-knit international team; Curious about where safety, cybersecurity, and AI intersect.
