Your Role & Responsibilities
Commercial & Strategic Tasks
1. Monitor and analyze upcoming international tenders and funding opportunities
2. Draft and manage Pre-Qualification and Expression of Interest files
3. Prepare administrative sections of proposals and coordinate submission efforts
4. Support the development of technical documents in collaboration with engineering teams
5. Identify and initiate strategic partnerships and networks with external consultants and firms
6. Take ownership in managing the full proposal cycle, from commercial screening through to contract negotiation
Reporting & Coordination
7. Maintain and update tender databases and internal commercial tracking tools
8. Ensure all documentation is reviewed, validated, and submitted in accordance with deadlines and quality standards
9. Coordinate input with Finance and Legal Departments, ensuring alignment on cost, compliance, and contractual matters
10. Provide regular reporting to the Head of Bid Unit and executive leadership
11. Represent the team in internal knowledge sharing activities
Cross-Functional & Leadership Contributions
12. Mentor and supervise junior bid manager and trainees
13. Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities, technical working groups, and in-house events
14. Support onboarding of new team members
15. Deliver practical training sessions on bid and proposal preparation
General Requirements
16. Fluent in English and French (written and spoken); knowledge of a third language is a valuable asset
17. Higher education in engineering, environmental science, international development, or related fields
18. Minimum 8 years of experience in bid preparation for international development projects funded by donors such as EU, EIB, AFD, World Bank, ADB etc.
19. Solid understanding of international financial institutions (IFIs) procedures and project methodologies (, project cycle, logical framework)
20. Experience in the implementation of development projects (fieldwork) is a plus
Technical Skills
21. Strong analytical and technical writing abilities
22. Proficient in IT tools, minimum at Microsoft Office Suite level (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
