Overview
KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is searching Jr Lab Technician to join our R&D Team in Herentals, Belgium.
This role will support microbiological testing, application research, and product development. It combines hands-on lab work, data analysis, and technical communication to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Testing: Perform standard and non-standard lab methods, especially in microbiology; ensure accuracy and compliance with SOPs and GLP.
2. Data & Reporting: Analyze and interpret complex data sets; prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
3. Method Development: Develop, validate, and improve lab protocols and procedures; train others on best practices.
4. Product & Application Support: Assist in new product development and application research; prepare samples and support field trials.
5. Customer Interaction: Communicate technical insights and product recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
6. Innovation & Marketing: Contribute to new product ideas and create technical collateral for marketing and customer education.
Qualifications
Education & Technical Skills
7. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biomedical/Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
8. Strong aseptic techniques and hands-on microbiology lab experience.
9. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, graphs, data analysis).
Essential Skills & Experience
10. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
11. Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.
12. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
13. Team player with well-developed project management skills.
14. Fluent English.
Preferred/Additional Experience
15. Previous experience in microbiology or cell labs.
16. Interest in method development and technical ownership of systems/processes.
17. Experience coordinating specialized field trials is a plus.
