For one of our clients, an international company active in sustainable solutions for industrial sectors (such as energy, transport, marine and mining), we are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Belgian office.
This role offers a challenging and hands-on position at the heart of the financial operations of a growing international group.
Your responsibilities
* Act as the internal and external point of contact for all accounts payable and accounts receivable matters
* Perform controls and postings related to purchases, sales, payroll, rents, bank statements and expense reports, and make the necessary corrections
* Prepare and review agent commission calculations
* Monitor and follow up on customer payment schedules
* Prepare monthly VAT returns
* Prepare monthly and annual closing files
* Perform various financial analyses and accounting treatments
* Play a key role in the monitoring of cash flow and financial movements of the Belgian entity
* Work closely with other departments, including logistics and operations

Your profile
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Taxation
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an accountant
* Experience with Belgian GAAP and working environment in Belgium
* Fluent in French and English
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Able to work autonomously, proactive and hands-on
* Strong multitasking skills and adaptability
* Experience with accounting tools such as Exact Online or FileMaker in an Apple environment is a plus
