Atithi Indian Restaurants is a chain of casual fine-dine Indian Restaurants offering Food, Service and Ambiance in various cities of Netherlands and Belgium.
Tasks
cleaning the work environment, kitchen equipment and reporting any special features/defects
independently resolve minor faults
(having) waste removed
performing preparatory work, such as washing, cutting, (pre)cooking, mixing, stirring, etc.
assessing the quality of products/ingredients to be used (freshness, shelf life, etc.), preparing resources
carrying out the preparations, monitoring/checking the quality, doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc. and making adjustments/additional dosages
preparing orders for transfer by carrying out à la minute cooking activities, portioning and garnishing
supervise the work of the assistant(s), give directions and instructions
monitor compliance with regulations in the areas of safety, occupational health and safety, HACCP and work and presentation methods (corporate identity)
planning daily activities and ordering food and other supplies, mainly from regular suppliers, at fixed conditions
receiving, checking and storing ordered food and other items
monitoring shelf life and hygiene
checking and accounting for the quantities of raw materials and (semi)finished products consumed
providing input for the map, menus, work instructions, etc. to be implemented
developing/adapting recipes, making calculations, etc. and discussing alternative menus for parties
developing proposals in recipe instructions, etc.
Requirements
Permanent Residence in EU/EEA/Switzerland
MBO Level-3/ EQF-3/ Secondary Vocational Education Diploma
Min. 1 year diploma in hotel management or an equivalent field
Candidate must be able to communicate in English/Dutch
