Description About the role DP World is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Manager LCL to lead and accelerate the growth of our LCL product across Europe. You will be responsible for expanding our LCL service portfolio and driving performance across key indicators, including number of services, CBM volume, and GP/CBM. In this role, you will establish a regional Hub & Gateway infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence and scalability. You will also guide and influence country organizations to follow DP World’s rules of engagement, enabling consistent execution and sustainable growth of our Regional LCL Ocean Freight product. How you will contribute Analyse the existing LCL volumes, co-loader arrangements and CFS partnerships to help define the best strategic approach for our LCL product. Organise our LCL product to ensure that the regional needs are accounted for and that we can maximise yields with either an own, co-loader or combined strategy to service our clients and support our growth. Build strong relationships with the sales community: Sales Management, Field Sales, GKAM’s and vertical leaders being the conduit into Ocean product. Meet with key clients along with the commercial responsible to help articulate the ocean logistics propositions and position DP World Ocean in the best place prior to a tender release. Collaborate with tender and solution teams to offer competitive offerings to actual/potential customers. Feedback important client trends, needs and requirements, along with any other intelligence gleaned to the procurement specialists to aid them with their activities. Develop a deep understanding of our global capabilities across the pillars and geographies and ensure you are well placed to promote these. Collaborate with our Ports & Terminal and Marine Service colleagues to ensure we build E2E solutions that are as unique to the industry as possible. Use the knowledge of our capabilities to develop sub-products that the vertical clients need. Ensure these products have a go to market naming, one pager and appropriate pricing and operational process. What you will bring 5–10 years of experience in global ocean forwarding or NVOCC/carrier environments, including hands‑on LCL operations. Strong NVOCC negotiation capabilities and a modern, tech‑savvy approach to tools and digital processes. Strong communication skills - You communicate clearly in English. Problem solving - You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative, innovative solutions. You don’t get flustered easily. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it. Detail oriented - You stay focused and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch. Strong collaborator - You can work independently because you self-manage, with limited direction and guidance, but you also enjoy collaborating across dynamic and multi-cultural teams and are personable, helpful and incredibly organized. Flexibility to travel - You are ready to travel between 30 - 50% of the time to perform audits on site.
