For one of our strategic clients — a leading Belgian organization active in the recycling and circular economy ecosystem —, we are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst with strong ERP and Accounting expertise to support a major ERP replacement program. Our client operates within the Belgian recycling ecosystem and plays a central role in coordinating and optimizing waste management and circular economy processes. As part of a broader transformation initiative, the organization is launching a strategic project involving the replacement of its current ERP and accounting system within an evolving business and regulatory context. This mission requires a senior-level professional with proven hands-on experience in functional analysis of ERP and accounting systems. Candidates without demonstrable experience in ERP or accounting functional analysis will not be considered. The role combines deep functional expertise, financial process knowledge, ERP integration experience, and partial leadership of development and implementation teams. To analyze, design, and lead the functional stream of the ERP/accounting system replacement, ensuring alignment between financial business requirements, technical feasibility, and user experience. The Senior Functional Analyst will act as a key interface between Finance stakeholders, IT teams, and external implementation partners, ensuring a smooth transition from the legacy system to the new ERP landscape. Functional Analysis & Requirements Management Focus on financial processes including: General Ledger management Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Financial reporting Perform gap analyses between current and target ERP/accounting functionalities Translate complex financial requirements into detailed functional specifications Analyze the current ERP/accounting system landscape Maintain documentation of integrations between the ERP/accounting system and other internal or external applications Support data migration and system integration activities Identify improvement opportunities within the broader application ecosystem Testing & Validation Design and execute functional test scenarios for financial workflows Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support production issue analysis and change request evaluation Stakeholder & Team Leadership ~ Act as a proactive bridge between business users, developers, and technical teams ~(Co-)lead an external implementation team during ERP integration and migration phases ~ Support planning, coordination, delivery, and go-live activities ~ Contribute to project planning, estimations, and coordination of development work Requirements analysis Solid understanding of project management dimensions (budget, timing, coordination, estimations) Proven experience as a Senior Functional Analyst in ERP and/or Accounting environments Demonstrable experience in financial and ERP systems design and analysis Strong knowledge of accounting processes and financial workflows Experience leading or coordinating development teams (Project Management exposure is a strong asset) Experience with detailed analysis documentation (UML, mock-ups, conceptual models) Experience in process analysis and business process optimization Knowledge of the Belgian recycling and circular economy ecosystem is a strong asset Languages Dutch: Fluent French: Personal Qualities Leadership mindset with the ability to coordinate teams Strong stakeholder management skills Freelance or payroll contract possible.
