PpFor a customer in Brussels, we are searching for a pragmatic and business-oriented freelance Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial Law) to act as a trusted legal partner for the commercial business, with a strong focus on purchasing and commercial contracts relating to products sold in stores and through e-commerce channels. /ppYou will support both B2B and B2C activities and work closely with internal stakeholders including purchasing, marketing, e-commerce, logistics, and operational teams. The role combines advisory work, contract drafting and negotiation, project support, and dispute management in a fast-paced retail environment. /ppThis position requires someone who is able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and provide clear, practical legal advice aligned with business objectives. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDraft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, with a strong focus on purchasing and supplier contracts /liliAdvise Marketing on legal aspects relating to products sold in physical stores and through e-commerce platforms /liliSupport both B2B and B2C commercial activities, including promotional campaigns and consumer-facing communications /liliAct as the day-to-day legal contact for the marketing team, including reviewing advertising materials, promotional folders, DISCLAIMERS, campaigns, and customer communications /liliProvide practical legal advice on commercial, consumer protection, and contractual matters /liliSupport strategic and operational projects by identifying and assessing legal risks and proposing pragmatic solutions /liliHandle legal queries from internal stakeholders in a timely and business-oriented manner /liliAssist in dispute management and litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel where necessary /liliContribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, templates, and compliance practices /liliWork cross-functionally with teams including procurement, e-commerce, logistics, warehousing, operations, and finance /li /ulh3Profile /h3ulliMaster’s degree in Law /liliSeveral years of relevant experience as a legal counsel, preferably with strong exposure to commercial law /liliPrevious in-house experience is essential /liliStrong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial and purchasing contracts /liliFamiliarity with e-commerce, consumer law, and B2B/B2C commercial matters /liliAbility to work autonomously and manage matters independently from start to finish /liliPragmatic mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills /liliComfortable operating in a dynamic and fast-moving business environment /liliExperience in retail, logistics, warehousing, or FMCG sectors is considered a strong advantage, but is not mandatory /li /ulpSENIORITY: Senior /ppDURATION: 4 Months /ppEXTENSION: TBC /ppCONTRACT: Freelance /ppLOCATION: Brussels /ppONSITE POLICY: 2 days /ppHOURS PER WEEK: 40 /ppLANGUAGES: Fluent Dutch and English, French a bonus /ppINTERVIEW PROCESS: 2 stages /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
