Job Description:
The Construction Manager is a seasoned technical expert with extensive experience in designing, constructing, and verifying facilities. The primary role involves providing expertise during the execution of assigned capital construction projects. They will develop and implement project-specific construction approaches aligned with global and regional construction management strategies.
This position requires collaboration with leaders across various departments and cultures to implement effective solutions. A consistent, scalable, and harmonized approach must be followed to improve efficiency and effectiveness across diverse regions.
In pursuit of this vision, the Construction Manager will collaborate with the Project Team on implementing contracting strategies and identifying regional vendor expertise for construction execution. Key responsibilities include:
* Front End Loading - Building on existing practices while identifying key practices that drive best results.
* Qualification of Construction Partners - Effectively engaging with Project Leaders, CCFS, EHS, and Construction Safety to select external partners for construction in various regions.
* Policies and Procedures - Understanding, deploying, and offering improvements to policies, procedures, and programs promoting front-end loading, vendor selection, construction labor, safety, constructability, quality construction, and on-time performance, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
* Goals and Reporting - Tracking goals and targets for Construction Management deployment, including reporting frequency and KPIs.
* Reviews and Assessments - Conducting regular assessments and reviews in collaboration with the Project Team, discussing positive observations, areas for improvement, and leading the development of required action plans.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
* A minimum of eight to ten years of related work experience, with progressive experience in Construction Management.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience identifying, mitigating, and controlling risks in capital construction projects, including contract understanding and enforcement.
