Intro

For a well-established financial services organization with a strong focus on trust, proximity, and long-term customer relationships, we are looking for a Social Media Specialist.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously optimizing social media strategies that strengthen customer engagement, brand positioning, and dialogue across multiple platforms.

You will work closely with marketing leadership, internal teams, and local offices to ensure social media is used consistently, effectively, and in line with the company’s strategic objectives.


Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Policy Contribution

* Develop and implement effective social media strategies aimed at increasing customer engagement and brand loyalty.
* Create a comprehensive social media plan and translate strategic objectives into actionable guidelines.
* Align strategy, goals, and execution plans with the Marketing Manager and Commercial Marketing Director.
* Engage internal stakeholders to source and create relevant content and reinforce brand impact across social channels.

Policy Communication & Internal Enablement

* Communicate and embed social media policies across the organization and local offices.
* Inform and guide internal and external stakeholders on best practices and agreed ways of working.
* Actively support local offices in further developing and applying the social media policy.

Social Media Planning & Campaign Execution

* Develop and execute social media communication and campaign plans to support marketing initiatives.
* Manage and maintain a structured content calendar.
* Activate and manage social media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram; manage YouTube and Twitter for service-related communication.
* Create engaging social media content and run tests to improve performance.
* Define, monitor, and safeguard brand positioning across all social media platforms.

Data Analysis, Monitoring & Optimization

* Define KPIs and success metrics to measure the effectiveness of social media initiatives.
* Actively use social media analytics to evaluate performance and generate insights.
* Translate insights into concrete optimization proposals.
* Monitor market trends and share relevant insights internally.
* Analyze and optimize organic (non-paid) social media content.
* Proactively identify and create relevant content from within the organization, local offices, and the market.
* Translate PR activities and current events into impactful social media communication.

Content & Conversation Management

* Monitor trends, create and publish content, and maintain an ongoing dialogue with (potential) customers.
* Monitor and respond appropriately and timely to questions, complaints, and comments across social media channels.
* Drive customer engagement and positive word-of-mouth marketing.
* Execute, publish, and follow up on all content planned in the content calendar.

Channel Monitoring & Crisis Management

* Continuously monitor all social media channels and make adjustments based on predefined objectives.
* Use social media insights to improve services and customer experience.
* Maintain and keep social media pages up to date.
* Set up social listening around relevant topics, including automated alerts across social media and news platforms.
* Closely monitor channels during incidents, office transitions, or crisis communication situations.

Knowledge Development

* Stay up to date with developments in social media, digital communication, and related fields.
* Benchmark competitors and integrate best practices from different industries.
* Participate in trainings, conferences, and professional events.
* Follow relevant industry literature and trends.


Experience & Competences

* Excellent communication skills, both towards internal stakeholders, local offices, and customers.
* Ability to work independently and take ownership.
* Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
* Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Analytical skills, including the ability to create and interpret monthly performance reports.
* Ability to work within a defined strategic framework.
* Basic knowledge of French is required.
