Position
In the context of our growing activities related to flight systems development, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Procurement Officer. This role involves managing the procurements for the entire Flight Division, ensuring efficient and effective interactions with project managers on the selection of parts, liaising with suppliers, and following up on orders.
* Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area)
* Start date: Quarter 3, 2025.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Receive purchase requests from project managers and perform administrative procurement tasks, including follow-up until delivery and acceptance
* Support the selection of parts (including EEE) and make recommendations to project managers
* Analyse the need and market (potential suppliers), and support the acquisition and negotiation of prices with suppliers
* Evaluate purchases following incoming inspections and tests
* Host regular meetings with Tier 1 suppliers
* Update accounting on predicted billing dates for significant procurements
* Build and maintain relationships of trust and cooperation with suppliers
* Ensure compliance with national and international laws, export control, and end-user certificates.
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electronics, engineering, logistics, or supply chain management.
* Very good written and spoken English.
* Proactive and detail-oriented attitude.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable interacting with suppliers.
Considered as Assets
* Interest in (and if possible, experience in) aerospace technologies and engineering
* Experience with BENELUX and international suppliers
* Fluent in English and French, with good knowledge of one of the other national languages of Belgium (German/Dutch)
* Driving license B.
